Describe a graphic source in a book you have read at home, and the information that the graphic source contains. Make sure you tell the title of your book, magazine, or newspaper in the post.

Use the post below as a guide.

Yesterday, I was on the airplane and saw an information card called "Boeing 737". The information card had a diagram that showed how to open the plane's emergency exit doors in case of an emergency landing.

In the National Geographic article, “Extreme Dinosaurs” the illustrator, Peter Gwin uses graphic sources to compare the size of a variety of dinosaurs to that of a human. This is helpful to the reader because it helps explain how big or small dinosaurs were compared to a human and it makes it easier to create a mental picture of what you are reading.

In my book Scary Stories LIAR the kids have a big game and need to get on the train for and hour. I think by using a graphic source the book could have the train scedule. The trains name, where its going, what time its suppose to leave to and arrive, and how many passengers are suppose to a bord the train.

A graphic source can be a picture, map, graph, or chart. Did the cards have any of these graphic sources on them?

In "The Amazing Spiderman vs Doctor Doom" the illustrator uses graphics to help the author tell the story and how the characters are feeling and their facial expressions. The graphics also show the actions between the characters and the background setting of where the story takes place.
